These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in educational programmes and use of services provided by Beacon. By enrolling in our programmes or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Services" refers to all financial education programmes, materials, consultations, and related offerings provided by Beacon.
  • "Participant" or "You" refers to any individual enrolled in or using our services.
  • "Content" refers to all educational materials, presentations, handbooks, and resources provided.
  • "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions plus any programme-specific terms.
  • "We," "Us," or "Company" refers to Beacon.

2. Use of Services

2.1 Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years of age. For participants under 18, parental or guardian consent is required.

2.2 Enrollment: By enrolling in a programme, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete. You agree to notify us promptly of any changes to your contact information.

2.3 Educational Purpose: Our programmes are designed for educational purposes only. Content provided does not constitute financial advice, investment recommendations, or professional guidance on specific financial decisions.

2.4 Personal Responsibility: You acknowledge that any financial decisions you make are your own responsibility. We encourage consulting with licensed financial professionals for specific advice tailored to your circumstances.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
  • Reproduce, distribute, or share programme materials without written permission
  • Record sessions (audio or video) without explicit consent
  • Disrupt programme sessions or interfere with other participants' learning
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
  • Use programme content for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Share login credentials or access with unauthorized individuals

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Ownership: All programme materials, content, presentations, and resources are the intellectual property of Beacon and protected by copyright laws.

4.2 License Grant: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use programme materials solely for your personal educational purposes.

4.3 Restrictions: You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, publish, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

4.4 Participant Content: By sharing questions, feedback, or other content during programmes, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use such content for educational improvement purposes.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Currency: All fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

5.2 Payment Timing: Full programme fees are due upon enrollment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

5.3 Accepted Methods: We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods as specified during enrollment.

5.4 Price Changes: Programme fees are subject to change. Changes apply to future enrollments, not existing participants.

5.5 Taxes: Fees include applicable GST. You are responsible for any other taxes that may apply.

6. Refund Policy

6.1 Cancellation Before Start: If you cancel enrollment at least 14 days before programme commencement, you will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of SGD 50.

6.2 Cancellation After Start: Once a programme has commenced, refunds are provided on a pro-rata basis for remaining sessions, minus the administrative fee, if requested within the first two sessions.

6.3 No Refund After Third Session: No refunds are provided after attending three or more sessions.

6.4 Programme Cancellation by Us: If we cancel a programme, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to the next available session.

6.5 Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 14 business days using the original payment method.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

7.1 Educational Nature: Our programmes provide educational content and do not constitute professional financial advice. We make no representations about specific outcomes or financial results.

7.2 No Guarantees: While we strive for high-quality education, we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or that content meets all individual needs.

7.3 As-Is Provision: Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

7.4 Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of our services.

7.5 Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid for the specific programme in question.

7.6 Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. Termination

8.1 By You: You may terminate your participation subject to our refund policy.

8.2 By Us: We reserve the right to terminate your participation if you violate these terms or engage in disruptive behavior. No refund will be provided in such cases.

8.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to programme materials and resources will cease. Provisions regarding confidentiality and intellectual property survive termination.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any concerns informally.

9.2 Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation in Singapore.

9.3 Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

9.4 Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Singapore.

10. General Provisions

10.1 Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Beacon regarding services.

10.2 Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

10.3 No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

10.4 Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign our rights to a successor.

10.5 Amendments: We may update these terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or website notice.

10.6 Notices: Official notices will be sent to your registered email address.
